Incentives
Local Incentives
Hawkins County Industrial Development Board offers local incentives to qualifying projects. We offer Payment in Lieu of Tax (PILOT) program to all qualifying new and existing industries. The value and terms of these incentives are determined by the criteria set forth by the IDB to qualify the project. Determining criteria includes number of jobs created, wages, and level of investment by the company.
Infrastructure Grants
Grants are available up to $750,000 to assist in the infrastructure cost of new or expanding industries. These are grants to Hawkins County and are used for the development of sewer, water, natural gas, electrical lines, site gradings and rail spurs.
Low Interest Loans
Loan programs are available from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, TVA, First Tennessee Development District and the Small Business Association. All programs offer interest rates below prime. Loan amounts vary and are based on the number of new jobs created.
Foreign Trade Zone
Hawkins County is in the service area of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 204.
